Who has the most power over Jack Abbott's heart? The Young and the Restless' Peter Bergman says the answer is clear: Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Does this spell the beginning of a Jack-Phyllis-Nick love triangle?!

Just as new episodes of The Young and the Restless went off the air in April, fans were left with the possibility that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) might finally have a happily ever after. The pair committed to a long-term relationship, both agreeing that their connection goes much deeper than just sexual attraction. But as soap lovers know, there's always something around the corner that could blow up their happiness. Might it be Jack Abbott?

Jack and Phyllis have a very long history, some of which fans were able to relive during Y&R's week of throwback episodes featuring the Abbott family. And Jack's portrayer, Peter Bergman, says that his character never truly got over Phyllis -- and likely never will!

"She was not like any of the girls that he grew up with in the country club," the actor tells Soaps In Depth. "Jack loved that this woman spoke her mind, she did not hold back. This woman was fierce and loyal and crazy, and Jack thought that was the coolest thing in the world. She wasn't trying to be proper or mince words. She was unapologetically who she was -- and Jack thought that was intoxicating."

He adds that all of those magical things about Phyllis will forever have a hold on Jack's heart: "She's the one that he'll spend his life trying to get over."

Bergman doesn't speculate on what's around the corner storyline-wise, but could his comments about Phyllis signal a Jack-Phyllis-Nick love triangle in the future? Let us know what you think in the Comments section below.
