Meredith had a serious blood disorder and learned that she was not expected to live. Larry had known about this and, not wanting to upset her (women were very delicate back then) hid the information from her. She was distraught over this and distanced herself from him. Meanwhile, she met amnesia victim Tom Edwards who worked at the Banner for Victor.

On Sunday, April 2nd, a fundraiser was held at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ to benefit The Gabriel Project, which brings children from third-world countries to the United States for life-saving surgery. To support this cause, OLTL's Jason-Shane Scott (Will) and Don Jeffcoat (Joey), AMC's Finola Hughes (Alex), Esta TerBlanche (Gillian) and Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and DAYS Matt Cedeno (Brandon Walker) attended the event.

Soap vet Fiona Hutchison (ex-Jenna, Guiding Light; ex-Gabrielle, One Life to Live) will join the cast of As The World Turns in the short-term role of Celia, Simon Frazier's sister.
Emmy

The evening started full of hope for OLTL fans. After all, the show already won four technical Emmys, which was four more awards than they'd won the year before. After Sarah Brown (Carly, GH) had won her third Emmy, this one for Outstanding Supporting Actress, OLTL's first chance at an award arrived in the Outstanding Supporting Actor category.
